THE FLUNKY CHICKEN
Charting Life's Journey, One Moment At A Time
Life's path isn't always clear. For me, it took an unexpected turn – a health crisis that left me searching for answers. In that search, I found woodworking, a craft that not only helped me heal but also taught the power of creating something meaningful with my own hands. Through this process, I discovered the significance of orienteering and cairns – symbols of guidance, resilience, and wayfinding.
Now, I craft more than just souvenirs – I create waypoints to help others navigate their own journeys. Each handcrafted piece serves as a reminder of where you've been, where you are, and where you're headed. Whether you're honoring a personal milestone, seeking clarity, or simply needing something tangible to ground you, my work is designed to inspire, guide, and connect.
Your journey matters. Let's explore, reflect, and build something – together.
Somewhere In The Middle:
Breaking The Cycle Of Generational Trauma
On September 15, 2002, I suddenly began to experience a strange set of symptoms that in the beginning looked like I was experiencing a stroke at the age of 31.
I was rushed to the hospital, only to leave hours later with no clear answers.
It would take me nearly 10 years to finally get the correct diagnosis. Complex Post Traumatic Stress disorder (CPTSd) with a Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) component.
Somewhere In The Middle is the story of how I discovered the connection between my family's generational trauma and the damage that had caused my health to fail.
